Massachussets Intstitute of Technology remains to be at the top for a reason; it never fails to astound us with its advancements in the field of technology and research. It stays in the Tech news always standing out of the crowd.
Recently, MIT claimed that they have build a robot which can build by itself a dome-like structure! If this is not surprising to you, then hear this: they have plans to further the technology so much that they expect the robot to be making rounds around the globe making buildings, homes, and figures and also destroying and clearing debris out of its ways.
The robot is expected to be working completely on its own, starting from collecting and gathering the construction material to completing an entire project by itself.
Although this is a completely new concept and a wow-factor, it also possess a risk for the depletion of construction workers.
MIT researchers have already successfully made their prototype of a 3-D printer, which prints major construction of domes, which are approximately 50 feet in diameter. The printer shares its tyres with tanks, which are the same.
Apart from the fact that it is self-reliant, the machine or the robot will work getting its power from the energy derived from the solar panels. The machine is also in the plans of having the ability to work in isolated areas. So, this will eliminate the porbable risks a person may have had to face in that location. The robot will clear everything around it, will make an assessment of the land, and start construction as soon as it receives the orders.
The robot’s smartness is not just limited to this. The robot will also jedge and decide the kind of structure it will be possible to make in that available space.
So, think now: a 3D printing machine which now prints 3D dome structures will be able to do so much in the very near future. And all of this is the brainchild of the brainiacs at MIT! Wow!
